This is my first big hiccup and I'm looking forward to playing some dreamcast games in the near future. Are the raw and bin files important when converting the gdi file?Īny input in appreciated.

Perhaps I don't fully understand how to convert gdi files to cdh files. I was able to play a game that I did not convert by putting all of the files in a folder and transferring the whole folder to RetroPie, but I found this to be not aesthetically pleasing and if possible I'd like to have the files in cdh format to save space. My BIOS files are correct and in the right place. psx may need additional BIOS files to run. Redream is super awesome but I did have an issue with save states - dm me if this is the case.

When looking at the RetroPie documentation and through the forums I found no mention of. For Dreamcast go into the experimental packages under the tools section in your retropiesetup menu. I took a look in the file system and they are there. This option is recommended if you have several games or a game that takes a large amount of space. There is an option for the core to enable per-game VMU's. BIN files under /home/pi/RetroPie/BIOS/dc/, and will be automatically created the first time you run lr-flycast. This version as with the others has all the features the other platforms get, but with the incredible achievements of emulating Dreamcast games on the modest Raspberry Pi.
